Actimel Interactive Site

Young & Rubicam approached us with a new marketing strategy for Actimel on mind to enhance their online Identity producing something more sophisticated than usual for this client, and also providing self explaining information while adding new layers of user interaction.

The new site shows an interactive video as a main layer. Through the video the user can learn about the product characteristics and their philosophy. All content is narrated by a host that introduces and conducts the journey through the video.

The interactive video contains four sections, each of them featuring the most important product's aspects or benefits: "How it works", "Why I need it", "Actimel Science" and "Actimel's facts".

Starting with a chroma key filmed base we added a layer of interactivity making a hard time edition and post production of the video to achieve an innovative way to communicate with users.

All the parties involved on the production, Young & Rubicam, Ovídeo and Gimmicklab, worked closely together to deliver a top class result.

The site also included some user orientated sections: Answering nutritional questions, publishing news, adding videos and case studies and powering the Weather Service.

The new platform also gives a prominent space to promotions, actually running a Free Antivirus campaign with Panda Security and a pin code based promo to give away one year of actimel.

The interactive video was builded with Flash, all the content is coded using XHTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and MySQL, producing a neat and valid code.

Special attention is given to semantics where all the content including the Interactive Video is fully indexed by search engines.

Creativity was worked along with Young & Rubicam, Ilustration credits are for Marc Monés, video edition credits are for Ovídeo and flash video producing credits are for Sergio Espín.
