Sentinel T-Shirts
This is one of the most challenging projects we have done in Gimmicklab. The guys from Incas Barcelona, whom we have worked for since 1999, wanted to launch a clothing line inspired in north american indian tribes.
After gathering a lot of information we decided that the style we liked most is the one from Susan A. Point which 100% influenced the logo and the print illustrations for the t-shirts.
Every illustration in based and related to the Coast Salish way of life and art. One of the most used themes is the fish and the transmission of knowledge from old to young. Fish is easily recognized, but note the illustrations in which the fish and the thunderbird are related and integrated, or the eco effect in the mouth of a face representing this knowledge transmission.
