Ibai Acevedo Site
Ibai Acevedo is a young photographer very involved in social media, even thought he wanted to focus all his work in a personal and professional portfolio.
Now from his own site you can follow all the activity stream that Ibai is constantly generating publishing new pictures.
The site is powered with wordpress. It makes use of some custom developed plugins and and relays on NextGen Gallery to manage the pictures and the galleries all over the site.
The art direction and graphic design it's made by Ibai, giving a personal and natural approach to the graphic interface.
It's coded in XHTML, CSS and Jquery, generating a valid mark up all over the website. The layout it's clean and fast, it's an "em" based layout, so you can zoom and everything will preserve the aspect ratio. It's uses CSS Sprites to serve a few design images.
We used multiple loops and multiple queries to rethink all the templates. The PHP code and the Database is heavily customized and optimized. It's lightweight generates a fast response even when you are dealing with a high volume of pictures.
The client has total control over the content, publishing and editing new pictures, galleries, audio, video. The back end interface got a re-thinking adding some functionalities to make things easier to manage from a single place.
